There are several effective approaches to using the Used Equipment Network to sell your surplus machinery. The most commonly-used and often the fastest method is to enter a "for-sale" listing into the system. This will require you to log on so we have your contact information. When you enter a for-sale listing, the UEN system will automatically email it overnight to all professional used equipment dealers who handle that type of equipment. Often you will get a call or email the next day from a dealer interested in buying your equipment. With multiple offers you can pick the best price and terms. Note that end-user for-sale listings are available only to dealers so you will not see your listing if you search the for-sale items after entering yours. You can, of course, always see your own listings by clicking the "See my listings" link at the top right of the screen after you log on.

Another approach is to find a dealer who is selling a similar piece of equipment and contact him directly. Dealers often specialize in certain types of equipment and a dealer who frequently sells items similar to yours is most likely to want to offer you a good price for yours. For large and heavy equipment that is expensive to ship, it's likely you will get the best price if a dealer can sell it and have it shipped directly to the new owner without having to bring it into his inventory first.
